Cochrane Thematic Group meeting in Helsingør

Oldest house in Helsingør

From 19-21 May, we attended the annual face-to-face meeting of the Cochrane Acute and Emergency Care Thematic Group in Helsingør, Denmark. This partnership of five Cochrane entities, including Cochrane First Aid, is designed to advance collaboration and research across this broad range of specialised topic areas. The goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of evidence for healthcare providers in time-sensitive settings, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

During the meeting, we explored both ongoing and upcoming initiatives related to priority setting, evidence dissemination, and patient and public involvement, as well as new developments in evidence synthesis methods. We also worked on further refining and aligning our collaboration, while strengthening our connections with the Cochrane Central Editorial Service and Cochrane Denmark.
Beyond the formal sessions, we appreciated a lively social programme that helped deepen professional relationships while discovering the historic city of Helsingør.

The meeting marked an important step forward for our Thematic Group, and everyone looks forward with enthusiasm to what lies ahead.
