Coming up: training on how to consult, read and interpret first aid evidence

Cochrane First Aid aspires to lower the bar towards the use of high-quality evidence for all who have an interest in first aid and to be a liaison between science and practice. One way to realize these aims is by actively contributing to thematic first aid conferences.

From 5 to 7 October, the Canadian Red Cross is hosting Survival 2020 - The International Red Cross First Aid, Injury Prevention and Aquatics Education Virtual Conference.

On Wednesday October 7 at 6:30 pm (CEST), Cochrane First Aid field coordinator Jorien Laermans will be presenting a live webinar on “Consulting, Interpreting & Using First Aid Research Evidence”. During this session, attendees will be familiarized with different aspects of scientific research and learn about Cochrane First Aid. They should leave the webinar with increased knowledge, skills and confidence in how to retrieve, consult and interpret the results of first aid research. Moreover, they will know how Cochrane First Aid may help them to integrate the use of reliable evidence in their everyday first aid life.

We are looking forward to this exciting new step towards building a global first aid network!

The Survival 2020 Virtual Conference requires registration. More information is available on the conference website.
