COVID-19 fact-checking by CEBaP

Today, on International Fact-checking Day, we would like to highlight the importance of fact-checking during this coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. In this ever-changing situation, it's important to have the latest information to guide decision-making. However, we must ensure that this information is trustworthy. In other words, it is important to promptly differentiate the true epidemic from the epidemic of false claims and potentially harmful actions.

With that in mind, the Centre for Evidence-Based Practice (CEBaP), which is Cochrane First Aid’s initiator, sifts through new COVID-19 literature on a daily basis and assesses the reliability of studies relevant to the Red Cross. On their own COVID-19 Fact Check page, they provide an overview of their analyses of the identified articles.
