Cochrane Africa is a network that envisions to increase the use of best evidence to inform healthcare decision making in Sub-Saharan Africa. The network plays a coordinating role and unifies 4 regional hubs that are each lead by Cochrane Review authors, mentors and trainers.
The release of the first Cochrane First Aid blogshot in Kiswahili triggered the mutual interest of Cochrane Africa and Cochrane First Aid to start up a synergistic collaboration. Cochrane Africa will help disseminate Cochrane First Aid’s work via its social media and website. In return, Cochrane First Aid will give priority to translating blogshots relevant to the Sub-Saharan African context from English to Kiswahili and French. In the future, we hope to expand this collaboration further!
