World Evidence-Based Healthcare (EBHC) Day is held on 20 October each year. This global initiative wants to raise awareness for better evidence to inform healthcare policy, practice and decision making. It is an opportunity to educate a broad audience about the importance of evidence-based healthcare and encourage debate and discussion amongst the global evidence community.
For the inaugural World EBHC Day 2020, organisations and individuals were invited to share their experiences in working or contributing to evidence-based healthcare.
In one of the 35 published Impact Stories, “Cochrane First Aid: Introducing evidence into laypeople’s lives” , we highlight how Cochrane First Aid contributes to making evidence accessible to and comprehensible for all, with particular focus on the example of our blogshots on hand cleaning with ash.
